If you've had an online portfolio before you'll know that editing HTML to update your site by hand is a pain. And because it’s a pain you’re less inclined to do it and so your site doesn’t get updated as often as it should (or not at all) and your portfolio goes stale.
Because I’m a designer and musician. I didn’t want to think twice about updating my site. I wanted my site to encourage me to make more cool stuff to share with the world. One thing led to another and I ended up building Seamless. A tool for people who don’t want to or don’t know how to mess around with HTML or XML or hacking a WordPress blog into a back-end for a portfolio. People who just want to get on with making cool stuff.
Seamless is $50 a year (or you can pay once every six months instead) and comes with a 14 day free trial so you can test it out without paying a penny.
The cost of Seamless includes hosting and bandwidth for your site. There is nothing to install, no manuals to read, just create an account and go!

To get started, enter your email address (this will be used as a username), choose a password and click the green "sign me up!" button. You can then try out Seamless and see how easy it is to share yourself.
By signing up for a trial account you are agreeing to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy so you'll probably want to take a look at them.
Your free trial will end on September 16th 2010. Then you'll be asked to signup for a paid plan if you want to continue using Seamless.

1. The back-end
The part of the site you'll see most. The behind the scenes area where you'll upload your work, enter as many (or as few) details as you wish and generally just manage your portfolio. Just don't call it a CMS - we hate that word.
2. Portfolio
The part the rest of the world sees. Choose from one of several designs to set your work off right. Each "theme" comes with a CSS file you can edit to customise your portfolio even more. Monitor and track visitors with Google's free analytics software. Post links to upcoming events/appearances and (coming soon) share your ideas with a blog.
3. Hosting
We host your site so you don't have to. Seamless (including your portfolio) is hosted on our servers so you don't have to pay for web hosting - it's included in every plan. You can also use your own domain name (www.yourname.com) with your Seamless portfolio. And if you don't have your own domain name, don't worry, you can use ours for free (yourname.madebyseamless.com).
